Vital money management program available in te reo Māori
MoneyTime, an online financial literacy program for children ages 10 to 14, is available in te reo Māori.
That means Māori immersion students can absorb money management into their te reo Māori vocabulary.
The MoneyTime program used in Māori immersion schools is the same one used by over 700 schools and 60,000 students nationwide.
The program includes 30 fun, interactive models that cover subjects ranging from earning, banking and budgeting to property, investing and business.
Each module includes a multi-choice quiz in which students earn money for correct answers. They can use the money to invest, shop in virtual stores or make donations.
There are also 13 modules that students can do with their parents – and many parents report they learn things as well.
