Mortgage adviser says first-time buyers should get in now

Article by Joanna Davis

Mortgage Advisor Linda Eagleton says buying a home has never been easy: “It’s a huge investment, and something that you should work hard to achieve.” She says first-time buyers should take advantage of the dip in house prices, and get in now.

What is your role, and what do you love about what you do? I’m a self-employed mortgage adviser with Loan Market: It’s a small business, just myself and one-and-a-half staff. I absolutely love helping clients achieve their property ownership goals. Providing them with options and then calling to say: ‘Hey, you’re approved’ is just magic. And then even better to call them on settlement day to congratulate them.I’ve been in the industry since leaving school at 16. I spent many years in different roles in the bank – doing my apprenticeship, as such.
